Your Stay
At Casa do Papagaio Verde we will endeavour to make your stay as memorable and as comfortable as possible. You will be able to enjoy the following:
ROOM, APARTMENT, STUDIO OR SUITE:
All rooms have an ensuite bathroom. We provide a regular change of linen, towels and cleaning.
A TV set and cable TV are available in all rooms as well as hairdryers, a kettle, a small fridge and a coffee maker. In our apartments and studios, a kitchenette fully equipped is available.
Wifi is available throughout the house and in all rooms making it possible to work remotely from Casa do Papagaio Verde if that is your plan
BREAKFAST:
A continental breakfast including fresh bread, fresh fruit and typical Madeiran products is served every day. Our guests have continuously rated our breakfast “outstanding”.
For studios and apartments with self-catering, breakfast can be requested upon an additional surcharge.
POOL:
Sunbeds are available near the pool. Pool towels are placed in your room. You may ask to change them at your convenience.
GARDENS:
We take special pride in our garden. It boasts dozens of tropical and subtropical plants and endemic species such as the massaroco, and if you are green-fingered, we are happy to tell you more about the plants.
If you prefer, you can just sit in one of our garden Madeiran rattan chairs to peacefully enjoy the plants and the oceanic landscape.
The garden is also a haven for kestrels that nest on our trees every year.
LAND:
As a working farm producing fresh produce, our production of salads, vegetables and fruits are sold and are for local consumption.
The water to irrigate the farm comes from the Levada Curral e Castelejo, which is the traditional Madeiran agricultural production system.
The guests are welcome to explore the farmland and pathways. Feel free to request fresh salads during your stay.
PETS:
If you love animals as much as we do, you will be surprised by how gentle and beautiful our dogs and cats are.
Guests are also allowed to bring their pets upon request.
MEALS:
Upon request, we are also happy to serve you dinner. If you are interested, please do request more information on the menu and wine options.
HOSTS AND PAPAGAIO TEAM:
Our local knowledge means that, if you need, we are more than happy to give you our insights on walks, restaurants and any other activities, as well as tell you more about the history and life on this stunning island.
