Une très belle maison d'architecte bien orientée.La maîtresse des lieux (parlant le français) est charmante,courtoise,aimant offrir à ses hôtes petites attentions agréables et délicates.Maison confortable et très calme.Repos garanti,piscine bien entretenue et jardins très fleuris.Une adresse à retenir.Un point de chute pour visiter l'île aux fleurs...J'envoie par ce mail un petit bonjour à "Filomena" qui nous a si bien reçus.

My husband and I stayed ad Casa do Papagaio last June. We travel a lot and already visited a lot of B&B's, but what we experienced in Casa do Papagaio was really the very best. Philomena and Nyara are such warm persons, they make you feel at home instantly. The view from the B&B is breathtaking, the food excellent and mostly from their own garden. As animal lovers we also very much enjoyed the presence of the animals on the property. We really would like to recommend this great place to anyone and look forward to booking our next stay at Casa do Papagaio soon. Thanks again Philomena and Nyara, you really are the best!

Thank you Filomena and Nyara for such a warm welcome. A beautiful setting with views overlooking the sea. Lovely clean and bright apartment. We were more than content with it, but thank you for our night in the on-suite, such a beautiful and special room and the view from the terrace is to die for and the sunset..... well, exactly as you said Nyara, you don't want to leave the terrace until the last rays have disappeared. Lovely food, and a real treat to have fresh lettuce, salads and fruit straight from the garden. A big thank you to your staff, who were always very friendly with us and mustn't forget the animals, especially the pointer/cross, she's beautiful.
Madeira is an amazing place, so diverse with its mixture of mountains rugged coastline. We loved walking and exploring the island.
A big thank you for helping to make our holiday a special one.

Thanks to all at Cada do Papagaio for a lovely holiday. A welcoming glass of Madeira wine overlooking the sea. Lettuces from the garden, a lovely garden setting, beautiful pool, and very helpful staff. Thanks so much again!

I stayed already twice in this most beautiful, hospitable and friendly place, where I just didn´t miss anything. The rooms/ studios (I stayed in both) are very spacious and tastfully equipped, the meals most delicious; not only the salad comes right from the garden and can´t be fresher! The atmosphere is relaxed and openminded and generous.
The view over Funchal and the ocean is stunning.
Last not least I enjoyed all the well educated free running and playing pets!
A place to go back to feel "home" from the first moment!

I stayed here with my parents and my daughter and its suited all our needs, we were so well catered for the views and accomodation comfortable and well equipt and the staff were amazing as was the food and wine which the team prepare on site. Myself and my daughter plan to make another trip next year to stay in paradise !
